Private label rights is a concept used in internet marketing and derived from private labeling. It’s a license where the author sells most or all of the intellectual property rights to their work. The license is defined by the author of the work and has no legal definition.
Similar licenses include resell rights, also used in internet marketing.
Sounds confusing, so what does it actually mean?
It basically means, that you can buy the rights to Sell or Give Away an Ebook.
there are usually 3 different varieties of PLR
The first one is Regular PLR which gives you the right to re-brand and distribute(sell and give away) that re-branded material.
Second one is Master PLR, which gives you the right to sell the product with PLR rights, so you can sell “Super Weight-loss Secrets 5000” to another person who will re-brand it and distribute as their own.
There is also GiveAway PLR that only gives you the right to give the product away by include it in an offer you are promoting or using it as an incentive to get people to sign up for your mailing list.
There might be more, but these are the main ones.
So how do you benefit from PLR?
You can save quite a bit of time by using a PLR ebook as an included bonus in your affiliate offers, or as incentive to your mailing list, but PLR doesn’t just cover EBooks, they can cover Articles, PDFs, Software, Videos and Templates.
So as an example, say you are promoting your new “How to get started with affiliate marketing” offer, and you only got the Ebook you just wrote, well by buying some PLR Squeeze-page templates and an Ebook on using social media to promote your website, you have just doubled the value of your initial offer, with relatively little effort and money.
You could also purchase a bunch of niche related articles and use them on a blog, Optimize it, and sell it off once you got enough visitors. you can read a post on this here: Selling PLR Blogs on Flippa
So where would I go to buy these PLR Things?
But these are for the most part not solely centered around PLR content, so I would instead suggest IDPLR, which has a lot of PLR content, ranging from
ebooks, software, videos, templates, articles and more.
According to their website they have over 7000+ PLR products you can purchase or get for free.
But do also check out the various marketplaces like SEOClerks, Fiverr and Digitalpoint, there usually pop up some interesting ebooks there that you wouldn’t get any other places.
Do keep in mind that some PLR content might be a few years old, and could be outdated today, so please take great care when you look at the date it was published.
